Developed by Yousician team, this is one of the best string-instrument tuner, with an award winning audio technology.

Right from standard guitar to 12 string guitar, Ukulele to Violin and even folk instruments like Banjo and Mandolin, you can tune all sorts of string instruments with this, using your device's microphone, though you need to go for the paid version for any non-standard tuning.

Good thing is, along with Android and iOS app, website version is also available (Website version is only available for standard guitar tuning as of now).

Pro: Very accurate, easy to use and understand. Has variety of instrument tuning options. Its built-in Metronome and Chord Library is available for free.

Con: Since this uses device's microphone to tune, it is difficult to tune in an environment where there is a lot of surround sound, so a big no-no during live stage shows.

I’ve been using GuitarTuna for a while now, and it’s honestly one of the best tuning apps out there—very intuitive and accurate. The interface is clean, and it’s perfect for beginners and pros alike. If you’re interested in apps in general, I recently came across a helpful guide on how to make an iphone app for a website that breaks down the process really clearly. It’s fascinating how you can transform a web experience into a full mobile app! Back to GuitarTuna, the variety of tuning options and extra tools like chord libraries make it a great companion for any guitarist. Highly recommend giving it a try!
